My family makes New Years Resolutions. One or more things to do differently for the following years, but its not a religious thing.

Academic Goals

1. I am going to earn 3 credits in general science, by doing all of my assignment as well as making up any assignments i miss in the future.
2. I am going to get at least 2-4 credits in Latino history, by working in class as well as taking a book home to work on reaching my goal.
3. I am going to make sure my daughter is attending her pre-school class everyday, at the time she is supposed to be there.

He was the voice to whites, for all colored people, he stood up for what he believed in and made a differance in history. what i got out of what he stood up for, it to be educated and aware of who really have power and information about over our lives, IT'S US AS PEOPLE!!! Dear Principal Thompson:

You are doing a wonderful job here at Lindsay and Metro! I’ve been here for a couple of years now and you’ve got this school up and running better than ever. My daughter loves this school and all of your teachers, and I really believe that her education started at this school.
Principal Thompson our school lunches are unhealthy. The other day we had Hot Pockets that were filled with salts and acids; there were no nutrients in the ingredients. I wouldn’t feed my daughter Nevaeh straight salts and acids, so I really don’t want her to eat those kinds of foods in school. For myself and my daughter, I strongly believe that our school lunches should be healthy. We would like to eat such as whole wheat foods, salads organic foods anything that’s brain foods, we all know Hot Pockets are horrible especially for children to eat. We receive lots of fresh fruits here but I think the Hot Pockets eliminate our entire fruit intake.

We have to make a change in the obesity epidemic in America, but most importantly in Lindsay Community School and nursery. Do you know that in 2001 the USDA spent $350 million on high-fat beef and cheese for schools, while only spending $161 million on fruits and vegetables? Despite the general awareness that a diet rich in fresh fruits and vegetables helps prevent obesity, our fruit intake is less than half of our meats and cheeses intake. High- fats, high-cholesterol products are then distributed at low cost to school dining programs.

I really started researching these facts when my daughter became overweight. She’s three years old and her doctor made a statement that if she does not go on a diet now, by the time she becomes a teenager, she’s going to have diabetes. This scared me to death. Now I’m working on a solution to get her to eat healthier. What I’m saying is, she is addicted to eating ice cream, popsicles, cakes, candies, pizzas, burgers, and her favorite meal to eat here at Lindsay, chicken nuggets. Also her sedentary lifestyle is increasing. She wants me to pick her up everywhere we go and she complains about her legs hurting. If she continues to be fed unhealthy foods she will be obese by the time she reaches her teenage years.

I hope you make a difference in our school lunches today I’m speaking for our youth and toddlers of JCCS, and especially Lindsay Community School.

Maurits Cornelis Escher Was born in Leeuwarden Netherlands in 1898 and passed in 1972.

M.C. Escher esrtablished his foundation in 1968. His goal for his foundation was to preserve the legacy of his work.

Today the M.C. Escher foundation, organizes exhibitions, publishes books and films about the life and work of M.C. Escher.

M.C.E. is the worlds most famous graphic artists. He was famous for his so-called impossible,structures, such as Ascending and Descending, Relativity, his Transformation Prints, such as Metamorphosis 1, 2,and 3.

Academic Goals

My first Goal for next term is to come to school everyday and ask my teachers am i behind on any of my classwork work. If so i am going to stay after school or take extra work home everyday. There will be no reason why i am going to be behind because i'm not gonna get behind in class and hopfully I will keep up with all my work and assignment.

My second Goal is to get my daughter Naya in Elemtary school up the street i'm going to get her birth certifacate today then take her to the doctor so she can start school and get educated.

The Kite Runner

Amir was a great friend before he became unloyal to Hussan.
Amir change for the better after their friendship became worse. Amir was a very loyal friend to Hussan, until he witness Hussan getting raped. After that happen Amir felt Hussan was a coward and Amir tried to sabutage Hussan by planting his watch under hussan's bed and accusing him of stealing the watch. By the end of The kite runner story, Amir retured the loyalty that Hussan gave him when they were kids by struggling to get Hussan's son out of the group home, where the group home director sold the children. Amir captured his nephew and brung him back to america, where him and his wife were residening.
My favorite character would be Hussan because he was so loyal and honest he was strong as a little boy, he was pasionett about everything he did. The character I would have to dislike would Assef, beause he took avantage of Hussan slavory and took his man hood. I feel that if Assef was not in the novel Amir and Hussan would still be friend and Baba would have eventally told both of the boys they were brother, he was proud of both of them and he didn't want them to be appart.
I think the conflict in the story was Baba vs. society, Baba had some people who were after him so him and Amir had to relocate in america. If they wouldn't have left Hussan would've met them once they got old enough to make his own dicisions. Or even all of them could've relocated to america together.
Another conflict was Amir vs. self. What i got out of this story was as a kid Amir had it all, but Hussan seemed just as happy as him. so then he started to think that his mother's death was his falt and he thought his dad hated him for his mother's death. I think that's the reason why Amir was so selfish.
The message the author was trying to tell everyone was the Struggle Still Continue.....

My Very Fancy Bridge

I bilt my bridge for look because, I wasn't just stacking stick on top of each other I was focused on the design of my bridge and because my bridge was coming out exaclly like I vision it to be I decided to make my bridge for look so everyone can see the design I was building and, because It look to good to be broke in a lot of different pieces.
I buit my bridge the way I did because I felt this bridge that I was going to be making is just like art and I put my best work in all my projects.
I think my bridge will do great at the bridge compatition because it is a peice of art and it look beautiful.
Because I buit my bridge for looks it may not hold a lot of weight but, if i was to do the strenth test it might hold about five or ten pounds.
I should win at least second place in the beautiful bridge test.

Qauneka's New Year Resolution

My New year resolution is to smoke less cigretts then I did the previous day until i am able to quiet. I'm gonna focus on school, my daughter, and my heath and try to find the strenth to quiet smoking cigretts. I'm gonna to stay away from people that are smoking cigretts. My second New year resolution is to talk to others and be confident and kind to my friends and family.I'm gonna offer my help to people in any way possible, and help my mother and family out a lot. my third New Year resolution is to lose 50 pounds this year, I am gonna take a hour out of each day and go to the gym or run and jog every day until i meet my goal. I am gonna drink a lot of water everyday out of the week and stay away from juices and sodas, cut down on the snack eating and get myself heathy. My fourth New Year resolution is to stay motivated in school and be very nice to my teachers there for i can get a good grade. I am gonna finish all my assignment and make up all the work I missed, and take extra work home to work on, and by some miracle graduate this year!!!!!
